I came across this post of yours when I was googling for “How Mashable Started” because I had a idea floating in my mind about building an online community and was trying to figure out how great blogs started and build up to where they are. I'm glad I chance upon this post of yours. It triggers me to just get started the way Nike does with their slogan “Just do It”.

By the way, my main concern is my full-time job. Any tips or reference to how to maintain a blog with a hectic schedule?

Inspiring feed, and I have been having similar debates… went for ‘Life Explorer’, but like ‘Digital Media Explorer’ too, vague but focused!

I HAVE started something similar, and am playing to see which comes out as strong, but haven’t established a strategy, etc. yet: http://drbexl.blogspot.com/!

Am teaching ‘Design for Digital Media’ (mostly from a ‘things to consider’ than a tech perspective) course this semester (alongside history and media studies) so that is making me think a lot more about what I tell my students!
