Can I just say that Calvin helped out BIG TIME!! I was part of the Twitter Spam Cloud that temporarily suspended me for no reason.

Calvin started a campaign and myself and a few others get out accounts back online.

If you’re not friends with Calvin, you’re really missing out!

        Thanks Calvin!!

Again, another excellent post. Great tips and insights. I subscribed to your blog.

I am going to try to retweet even more now.

Thanks Bill. You are another person who does a fantastic job forging relationships on Twitter. I really appreciate your feedback.

Thanks Jesse for the kindness! And I would highly advise anyone to follow @mayhemstudios. The guy can stare at the screen and make it tweet. Amazing….

I have to say that you are one of the ultimate members of the Twitterati that connects with followers and befriends them. You’ve answered every tweet I’ve sent you, you’ve given me sweet retweets and you my friend, should be on this video.

However, I understand how strange that would come off. So I will repay in kind and make a video and highlight some of your spectacularness ;)

I absolutely believe that RT is the heart and soul of Twitter. @’s are a close second. People who do that well, are absolutely worth following.

Great work here. Of course I’ll subscribe to your blog. And of course I’ll post the link on Twitter.

    Hi Jesse,
Thanks for your information. I am new to this and I sure appreciate all the effort from people like you who take the time to help out someone like me who doesn’t know how it all works. I still don’t know how to retweet yet, but I’m sure I will find out. I don’t have a lot of time, but I at least get on here a couple of times a day and say hi to everyone.
I really need to take the time out and spend some serious time here with all of you and enjoy this new way of getting to know people.

    Thanks again

    Hi Jesse,
Finally, a human voice on Twitter! I feel exactly the same way as you do about being an active contributor in order to turn Twitter contacts into friends.
I really appreciate your approach. It’s nice and laid back, no-hype, just common sense and common courtesy.
Thanks for this, I will post a link on my Twitter page.

Don’t know if you saw this or not yet, but you were on a TechCrunch article this morning! Here is the link http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/02/27/microplaza-is-a-link-catcher-for-twitter-100-invites/

This is great advice. I can’t even count how many times I notice followers with 10, 20, 30k followers but with nothing to say. What is it a contest? You’re not influencing anyone if no one is listening.

Disappointed! Didn’t know it would be a video and can’t play it because The Skipper is listening to a radio play through my computer! LOL

Never mind, I will favourite this page and come back later and if the video was made by Calvin I am certain it will be well worth the wait :-)

Jesse, thank you for the interesting video. I’m just starting to get “serious” about Twitter, and it was helpful to see that there isn’t really a “trick” to it. I’ll just keep being myself!

Really nice post. I find many friends on Twitter and they even help me on other social media sites like StumbleUpon and Mixx.

Great video Jesse. I love your approach and the example you set on Twitter. I just subscribed to your blog and will be looking forward to reading your posts. When you think about it, networking and making friends is really a simple thing to do. You just have to talk to people.

I’ve met some wonderful people on Twitter and Facebook just by reaching out and participating in conversations. There is even one person in particular that will be coaching me in taking action to build my own business.

I’ve been following you for quite some time and always enjoy the content you share with the Twitter community. I’ll be sure to reach out more often and hopefully get to know you better.

Congratulations on the impending birth of your child (or maybe it’s already occurred.) I’m the father of two teens so I know what an incredible, rewarding and sometimes frustrating experience being a parent can be. ‘m sure you’ll do great. A healthy does of patience really helps. ;-)

Keep up the great work Jesse,

    Marty McPadden

Jesse, I loved your ‘stillie’ (as opposed to ‘movie’) about turning followers into friends. What you say is absolutely right, all along. What struck me most is that your advice about Twitter and blogs is equally applicable to life in general – be polite, help people out, always respond to requests etc.
So, thank you very much for that helpful and timely reminder. I’m going to go off and practice it a bit, now!
