Sometimes I Like To Dress My Tweetdeck Up In Naughty Clothes and Take It Out Dancing

While feeling sleep deprived recently, I had the wild idea that changing my Tweetdeck color scheme from the default black and white to something a little more lively might help me stay awake.

After I changed the colors my Tweetdeck ended up feeling so vivacious and sexy we ended up going out dancing for the rest of the night.

Of course this is all just an elaborate excuse to introduce you to animoto.com a groovy website that makes slideshows from pictures you upload. They provide a good selection of music for you or you can upload your own soundtrack. Just upload your pictures, choose your music and animoto does all the rest.

I can see a wide range of uses from personal to professional. You could make a quick and dirty product presentation in under a half an hour for instance. Give it a whirl and tell me what you think or go ahead and provide a link to your animoto animations in the comments.

  • I gotta tell you, this is one of the best blog titles I have seen in a long time. Well done! :)

I require my Tweetdeck to be clad in black and exercise conservative values at all times.
  • I love me some Animoto. I wrote a review about it a few weeks back and have heard from several people who tried it and love it. Great app
  • WTF? Change the colors on Tweetdeck? You heretic!

    Pure reckless abandon...

...but now that you've got me thinking about it, I'll probably be up all night experimenting with color combinations.

    Thanks.
  • Wow, looks cool! And much more fun than the "to-do" list staring at me...
  • It was awesome! 30 seconds is too short so I might just have to get a membership!
  • I use Picasa 3 for the same purpose, and it stores, imports, and touches up my photos as well. Animoto has better transitions and fades, however.
  • Jesse, does your wife know about this?

    Signed,
    Jesse
  • Yes Jamie knows... She's a very tolerant woman : )
  • It looks like it would be interesting to use if you didn't have something that could already do the job. Personally I'll stick to After Effects for any animation work I want to do like that. But still a good find.
  • haha how could I resist clicking on your Twitter link about this??Animoto looks great, will definitely check it out. thanks for sharing. (@kristydelmuto)
