YAY! I’m Having A Baby! :D

Technically Jamie’s having the baby but I am the daddy : )

As you may already know my wife Jamie and I go into the hospital tomorrow morning to have our baby. Many of you have offered your kind congratulations and some of you have even given me great advice about working from home while taking care of a small baby, which I’m so thankful for.

Jamie is scheduled for a Cesarian Section early Wednesday morning and we already know that we’re having a boy! We’re naming him Isaac Michael Newhart. We will be in the hospital for at least three days and after that begins the process of settling into our new life with our newborn Newhart.

The response to this blog lately has been humbling.  Especially last Friday when my video tutorial How to Turn Your Followers Into Friends ended up going viral on Twitter and making it to the top of Popurls.com.

I gained a good many subscribers from that and momentum sure has picked up, with over 400 more visitors coming to JesseNewhart.com on average daily. I’ve been very exited because I’m confident that the stuff I’m working on for the future is even better.

I was going to auto-post pre-written content to the blog while we were in the hospital, but I’ve decided against it.  First of all I like to be around when I post so that I can reply to blog comments and answer questions on Twitter.

On top of that it’s been so hectic around the house lately, getting ready for the baby, that I haven’t made writing a priority. So it’s probably better that some posts wait in the drafts section.

Here’s How You Can Help

I’ve decided to put my web based activities on hold for the time being so that I can give my wife and family the undivided attention they deserve. I’m not sure when I’m coming back but I know it won’t be until everything has settled down at home.  As settled as it can be with a brand new baby around at least.

I’ve been worried about losing the momentum that’s been built up lately so I’m inviting you to please subscribe to the blog so that you don’t miss out on the new stuff I have in store for you when I get back. You can subscribe using the form at the top righthand corner of this page.

Also When you subscribe via email you get the video tutorials ‘How To Gain 1,000 Followers A Week And Turn Them Into Friends’ as well as access to the ‘Members Only’ section and exclusive subscriber content.

If you’re already a subscriber you can help me out by recommending my blog to a friend or retweeting the link to this post on Twitter.  Thank you so much for your support and I promise I’ll be back ASAP.

I’ll continue to do my very best everyday to keep you entertained and informed even when, in the future,  I’m doing it with my baby in one arm.

  • Congratulations!

I went in for a scheduled induction on August 4th, 2008. It was great! We also had a boy. Enjoy the first few days home. They're really special.

And here's one of many tips: Make sure to have the necessities in every room. Diapers, wipes, burpies, etc. in every bedroom and the living room, etc. Makes life easier for YOU when the Mrs. is all, "Go get me..." :-)
