I’ve been a user of Blip.fm for sometime now. You may have got the auto DM in your Twitter Inbox from one of your tweeps telling you to try blip.fm “It’s like Twitter for Music!”. Unfortunately the only reason I ever logged into Blip.fm was to tweet songs to Twitter and never used Blip as the stand alone social network that it is.
Now tweeting music has become much more seemless with the introduction of twt.fm. My twitter peep Lee Martin whose Twitter user name is @AestheticTheory cooked up twt.fm on a “rainy Sunday” and it has become my new favorite way to tweet music.
It’s extremely easy to use and integrates beautifully with your Twitter avatar and background image. Simply enter in the artist’s name and the track name and twt.fm scours imeem for the proper song. Preview the song it finds to see if it’s the one you wanted then click to tweet. That’s it. If twt.fm cannot find the song you want there are also options to provide a direct link to any mp3 on the web or grab the soundtrack to any youtube video.
Give it a try it might just become your new favorite way to tweet music as well. Watch the video below to see how easy it is to use:
